Three weeks of working with clay, for beginners and experienced makers.
The workshop location is at our studio in Rua dos Quarteis 14 in Boa Hora, Ajuda, Lisbon.
This three-week pottery workshop invites you to work with clay, one of the world’s oldest materials, in a calm, but focused environment alongside others. No previous experience with ceramics is required, those who have worked with clay before will have space to extend and refine their practice.
You will work directly with your hands and in doing so, you’ll discover the materials limitations, but expand your creativity and confidence.
Across three weekly sessions you will:
- build and carve using hand-building techniques
- learn about glazes and firing
- create multiple objects of your own design
Clay, tools, and glazes are provided.
Your work will be fired at least twice by the studio team; a small firing fee may apply for unusually large or complex pieces. At the end of the course you will take home one or two finished objects, and, most importantly, a renewed relationship with your own creative process.
Completion of the workshop allows you to book studio-time packages to continue your practice in our welcoming space in Boa Hora, Ajuda, Lisbon.
